When Diddy took to Instagram to wish 50 Cent a happy birthday and offer him a lifetime supply of his favorite drink, it may have stunk a little like a publicity stunt but it was still a nice gesture. Besides, who doesn’t love to see a throwback flick of two of the most successful East Coast artists of all time when it was all smiles?
The two NY super-heavyweights have been trading subtle barbs across social media and press junkets for a long time but moments like this show they are just two kids fighting for the top of the playground. By ending his note with a slew of hysterical emoticons and “Love Always,” Diddy makes it clear that despite all the Bad Boy posturing between the two, it’ll always be love.
