P. Diddy may have caught a major break in the wake of his UCLA fight from June. Per CNN, the L.A. County district attorney has rejected the case, which means Diddy won’t face felony charges for the alleged assault involving a UCLA assistant football coach.
The music mogul was arrested last month on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of making terrorist threats and one count of battery, all of which could’ve threatened his various alcohol ventures and cost him millions in the process.
His attorney Mark Geragos expressed pleasure at the news on his client’s behalf. “We are thankful that the district attorney rejected felony charges in this matter,” Geragos told CNN. “This case never should have been part of the criminal justice system to begin with.”
Puffy’s legal woes aren’t over just yet because the Los Angeles city attorney could seek lesser misdemeanor charges. But for now, he’s probably somewhere pouring up with a whole bottle of Ciroc and breathing a sigh of relief.
